Reading through the first book of Matthew shows me the main purpose of Christ to save me, you, us, from our sin. As in bringing us out of a bad place, sin is a bad place, a bad state. if it wasn't, Jesus wouldn't have had to die. Christ is this sweet master who wouldn't want us to perish in what we obviously seem to be enjoying. He chose to perish in our place to save us from the masquerading slavery of sin. And that didn't even end there. Even after His death, He chose to let His name "Emmanuel" abide forever with us. So He wouldn't be the God that just saves but that one who also stays. How great the love of Christ? You know it's really easy to affirm and believe that God, Christ, loves me and has a wonderful plan for our lives but to think that He also abides with us for ever can be somewhat challenging to believe. But God's words says that He does. In the bad days, Good days, frustrating moments, even in the times when everything that happens...
