What Jesus Means to Us | He means even more than these...

Reading through the first book of Matthew shows me the main purpose of Christ to save me, you, us, from our sin.

As in bringing us out of a bad place, sin is a bad place, a bad state. if it wasn't, Jesus wouldn't have had to die.

Christ is this sweet master who wouldn't want us to perish in what we obviously seem to be enjoying. He chose to perish in our place to save us from the masquerading slavery of sin. And that didn't even end there. Even after His death, He chose to let His name "Emmanuel" abide forever with us.

So He wouldn't be the God that just saves but that one who also stays.

How great the love of Christ?

You know it's really easy to affirm and believe that God, Christ, loves me and has a wonderful plan for our lives but to think that He also abides with us for ever can be somewhat challenging to believe.

But God's words says that He does. In the bad days, Good days, frustrating moments, even in the times when everything that happens seems like you have offended God big time. He stay just near. Always near.

And the best part of my christian journey so far is actually that hard sigh Ii give whenever i'm in a bad place and the quiet whisper of a word of prayer to Jesusus.

"Hmm..God, i know you're here. Aaargh!!! Please help me!"

Sometimes speaking the truth to my soul seem to be the only prayer i need."Sarah, God is here. He is near."

And that makes me believe and conclude that Jesus' death on the cross wasn't just to save the whole world from sin in one day, but daily and forever. He died and stayed so even the redeemed wouldn't go back into the cage of sin by freewill.

We have a great God, people of God. Marvellous are His ways. And He so lovingly offers us this close relationsjip with Him if we'll let Him.

And all we have to do is believe in our heart and confess it our mouths that He is our God. Jesus is waiting for you.

God love you and offers you a wonderful plan for your life. Though He paid the penalty for or sins. He now offers us complete forgiveness and a close relationship with him. Just knowing what Jesus has done for us and what He is offering us is not enough To have a relationship with God, we need to welcome Him into our lives.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

John 1:1‭-‬4 KJV

These verses implies so much that Jesus, the word has been with God from the beginning and by him were all creations formed. Jesus dwelt among us though he was made for heaven.

He formed the earth and all that is in it and even you, yet shed His blood to save you, us.

How great the love of Christ?

Because of Jesus;

You are loved

John 15:9 testifies that Jesus loves with the love of the father. Of course, who would die for who He doesn't love.

Because of jesus, I don't have to be bothered if I'm forsaken by friend, my father or mother knowing I have a father and a friend Jesus Christ, who loves me.

Because of Jesus,

You are safe.

In John 17:15, we see Jesus Christ praying that God keeps us safe from evil and death. We are safe in His arms when we are HIs. The Good Shepherd never loses sight of His sheep.

Because of Jesus,

You have hope.

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

2 Corinthians 4:16‭-‬18 KJV

In Christ our present affliction is an assurance of greater glory.

Because of Jesus,

You are made whole

We are made complete in Jesus Christ. I usually compare my life without Jesus and now with Jesus and all i get is: Before, I was lost, without focus, unforgiving and bitter, paranoid, depressed and shaken, Christ brought the wholeness and with boldness and i can say that there is no life without Christ.

He is the life in us.

And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

Colossians 2:10 KJV

Because of Jesus

You are free from condemnation.

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Romans 8:1 KJV

Because of Christ we are free from condemnation brought by our sins and we can become sons and daughters of God.

Because of Jesus,

You can find Joy in your trial

 James 1:2 says;

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations.

In Christ we Joy in trials and temptations because we know that we are unshaken, we draw strength from the throne of God and we can overcome.

Because of Jesus,

You are strong

that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

Ephesians 3:16 KJV

Because of jesus we are strengthened by the spirit of God. We are strong.

Because of Jesus Christ,

You are never alone

"And lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world."

Matthew 28:10b

He said it. He is with us, God is with us even unto the end of the world.

Why You Need to Keep Record of Your Salvation Experience.

There are some memories that should never be forgotten, one of which is the story of your salvation. I think our Faith hangs on it somehow. Daily reminding ourselves that once we were lost but now and we are found. Daily reminding ourselves that our human mind never would have reckoned that the freedom which we now enjoy in Christ was possible. Daily reminding ourselves how broken, sad, confused, worried and tired we were before we found Christ who gave us peace in abundantly. Yes, our faith hangs on these memories. Because there would be days when salvation become visibly "no longer relevant", then we have reasons to say, no. I still can't afford to loose it. My old life wasn't better off. But there's one more reason why we should never forget our beginning with God. Worship. How do you worship God the best way when you have chosen to forget your personal experience of Him? And By Worship here, it goes beyond the emotions we feel while singing to Him. Fine, it is...

Is the Sermon On The Mount Meant for Everyone?

Is the Sermon On The Mount Meant for Everyone? The teaching of Jesus from Matt 5 up to Matt 7:28 is called “The Sermon on the Mount” because Jesus preached it on a mountain side. This sermon shows what Jesus meant when He commanded people to repent. It reveals what entering God's kingdom means, both in one's inner experience and outward behavior. It reveals principles which operate in the kingdom, and those things which exclude people from the kingdom. The sermon begins with the word “blessed”. So we can say the sermon sets forth the blessed life – who the blessed are and how they should behave. The blessed are those in the kingdom of heaven (Matt 5:3). This sermon does not give specific instructions as to how to enter God's kingdom but shows what sort of people are in it, and what they should seek to become and do. This sermon, for the most part, is for disciples of the Lord Jesus, not for everyone. However, it seems clear from Matt 7:28 that many other people besides H...

The Story Of Salvation According To Matthew 1

The name “Jesus”, like the Hebrew name Joshua, means “the LORD (Jehovah) saves”. The word “Christ” is from the Greek language and means “anointed one”. Its meaning is the same as “Messiah” taken from the Hebrew.  The Messiah was to be anointed by God – that is, set apart and consecrated by God, to fulfill the promises of the Old Testament. He was to be prophet, king, and priest. According to the Old Testament the Messiah had to be a descendant of Abraham, the father of the Jewish nation, and of David, Israel's greatest king. To show that this was true of the Lord Jesus, Matthew gives this genealogy in Matthew 1 which shows how Jesus relates to David and Abraham by Ancestry.   Jesus as to His human nature was descended from David who lived a thousand years before Him, and from Abraham who lived nearly two thousand years before Him. The women whose name showed up on this genealogy (Rahab, Bethseba and Ruth) teaches us of God's wonderful grace and mercy towards sinful peop...
