Genesis 5 • Matthew 3
Today's Insights
>> It's painful yet amusing how Sin brought Cain and His descendants into extinction. In verse of 3 of Genesis chapter 5, The Bible only referred to Seth, the one who was born last, after Cain and Abel to be Adam's descendant. Sin seperates us from God. Sin triggers that ' I know you not!" From God.
>> And Enoch came into the picture in verse nothing much said about him than how He lived his life. And Enoch walked with God and God made him a difference in his generation. Everyone dies but he WENT. He just WENT. And His going was so significant that the Bible had to record it.
Our walk with God brings seperation. Then, we do not suffer what others suffer and do not enjoy what others enjoy. Yes, that kind of seperation...

The people believed in His baptism but he reminds them that his can't save but. Christ'
>> And Jesus had to go to John, a mere man to be baptized. How. Humble?
I feel like he did thatfor two reason;
One, to confirm the significance of Water baptism
Two, to confirm the ministry of John the Baptist.
His words "to fulfill all righteousness" suggest these two reason to me.
