Living in Christ Light is Real Life

The Life-light is the real thing. Jesus being the Light and Life. Every person entering Life with Him, He brings into Light. He was in the world, the world was there through him, and yet the world didn’t even notice. He came to his own people, but they didn’t want him. But whoever did want him, who believed He was who He claimed and would do what He said, He made to be their true selves, their child-of-God selves. These are the God-begotten, not blood-begotten, not flesh-begotten, not sex-begotten but GOD-BEGOTTEN. (John 1:9‭-‬13) A life in the light of Christ is a life of Peace. Those who believe in and keep His commands; He will keep their souls not only alive but well. They'll travel safely, and not stumble. They'll take afternoon naps without a worry, and enjoy a good night’s sleep. No need to panic over alarms or surprises, or predictions that doomsday’s just around the corner, Because God will be right there with them; he’ll keep them safe and sound. (Proverbs 3:21‭-‬26...

The Lord is Closer than you Know - Even When You Feel Far

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalms 34:18 NIV I have been sad a lot of times, Depressed too many times. I used to think I was alone. I imagined I'd die one day and no one would think of me twice. I hurt myself too. I had my own inner demons and I could barely shut my eyes to sleep without tears. Until I met Him. No. He wasn't far. I was just too blind. The Lord is near to the broken hearted... So I'll rephrase. Until I saw Him. No one cared and no one understood. He led me to Himself. What manner of love does Christ have for us? That while we were yet distant He gives his life to find us. Psalm 34: 19 says: "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers them from them all." And through Faith, we have been called righteous even though we aren't. I am a living testimony of Christ's Love. I don't know what you are going through right now but I know that He isn't distant and He c...

Living Intentionally - Choosing the Jesus Way

I once asked a girl to be my friend, one of the wierd things i've ever done. Uh... She didn't say 'NO', so Rest! Then, I made up my mind to live intentionally and not wait for fate to make choices for me, especially in friendship like we always do and like I've always done. But that's not the point. Let's think of it this way; If Jesus the Christ had waited for 'fate' to happen before He chose to die for us He'll probably be shedding his blood when we have already gotten to the gates of hell, about to be thrown into it. You can pause to imagine that. The whole world was in chaos. God was wrath with his creation because they forsook HIm for other gods. And Jesus, the son of God, knowing how unpredictable the people of the earth are, rose and said "i'll go and save them. I'll give them an option to be my friend, so that everyone that accepts me can be saved from ultimate destruction." So Yes, Jesus Christ was intentional. He was...

Feeling Stuck? Here's a Word for You ❤❤❤

Sometimes the reason we are feeling so stuck is because we just can do what we should do - fear of being judged or misunderstood. I found something in one of the letters of Paul wrote to the church today and I felt like i must share. It's a big issue really. Some of us will never get to do the right thing all because we feel we will be judged a certain way by those around us. Some of us will never fully surrender to Jesus but choose subconsciously to remain in pain and despair because we don't want to be judged a certain way. Let's address this. Truth is, lack of worry about the judgement of others gives freedom to fully serve God as He directs and this means freedom to live a fulfilled and happy life. Little wonder Apostle Paul made up his mind to be less concerned about the judgement of the church on his faithfulness, here But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you, or by any human judgment. Indeed, I do not judge myself. For I know nothing again...

Lessons From A Leadership Lecture

I learned a lot today at a public lecture held in my school (Mountain Top University) which i would like to not only share but save on this space. it is worth your read, i promise. Our guest speaker Dr Sylvanus Ogbor, CEO, Soleta Foods ltd gave a lecture on Leadership: Intelligence in disruption. i'll just highlight a few things from what i learnt, let's just say the ones that really "hit it" for me, lol. ~ What gave you success is not most likely what would help you sustain it. Leaders adapt. ~ Build strong networks. There is nothing like solo success. ~ Invest in people. The greatest leaders build teams not just businesses. Build people to build your business or vision. ~ Nobody cares how much you know, what they care about is how much you care for them. It is when they are sure that you care for them that they will be able to call your vision "our vision" and your business "our business". ~ Lastly, PREPARE! A Hunter does not start l...

"Retire to Jesus" - When Jesus Christ becomes your Burden Bearer

I found Jesus alone. As a child, all I saw around me was violence, hatred and neglect, so if I had waited for Christ to be revealed to me through my parents, I probably wouldn't have been the person that I am now. I'm a teenager, and I have my own story. But that story, I think it got refined by the Light. Seemed like Christ just walked into my life and redefined all I knew about life. That's what He actually did. I was lonely, forsaken, wallowing in self hatred and my suicidal thoughts, He became my best friend, my dad, my gist partner, my go-to adviser, my lover... I probably wouldn't have known Him this way if someone has forced "Christianity " on me. Little wonder He says He has come for the oppressed and poor in spirit. When Jesus found me, I hated everyone, even the God my mum told me about. But He lingered and revealed to me. I had faults, secret faults, issues I had to deal with. But He chose to teach me in love. That's what He always does....

Finding Your True Purpose - Your Life is not Only About You

ɪᴛ'ꜱ ɴᴏᴛ ᴀʙᴏᴜᴛ ʏᴏᴜ. What do I want to be? What should I do with my life? How do I feel about this course? Why is this doctrine not making sense to me? Who am I... Questions. Consciously or unconsciously we all get to answer these questions in our minds almost everyday. 'Self-help' books teaches us that the answer to these "purpose-driven-questions" lies within us. I remember those steps to purpose discovery we got to learn growing up, especially while in secondary school: Identify your values, consider your dreams, search within yourself for what you are good at, what you enjoy doing, set a goal, aim high, go for it, never give up... Although these are very valid steps in self discovery or finding purpose but I also remember the state of confusion i usually find myself after listening to these kind of sermons. What if I have so many dreams? What if I have so many talents? What if I enjoy doing three activities that can't be linked together? What if the socie...
